I had the pleasure last week of shooting this wedding with Michelle Libby from Studio 32 Photography. The day before the wedding Libby and I drove around getting familiar with the area and trying to find a Plan “B” in case it rained. That night it must have been one of the worst thunder storms I have heard in awhile! The morning had a scattering of blue clouds … so with fingers crossed we headed to the vineyard in Naramata where the outdoor wedding was to take place.
With the skies opening up to rain again just before the ceremony, nothing could wipe the smile off the brides face. The whole wedding party was such a fun and lively bunch! It was truly entertaining spending the day with them and traveling to locations in the designated bus that they had hired.
The bride had a yellow theme throughout the vineyard … ranging from lovely yellow and white flowers to over 600 lemons!! Some were in the pool … flower pots … printed on all the paper markers … shaved in vases of water… and she even had hand juicers as her favors. It was so bright and fresh!
These next photos crack me up … one minute its pouring then it stops when Melissa reached Mike and the minister is saying the ceremony was only going to be 5 minutes in case it started raining again!
I love capturing the parents emotions during the ceremony.
Look at the colour of her eyes! Just beautiful!!
Tons and tons of laughs having them run down the vineyard …
here comes the rain again … look at the dark chunk of rain making its way back to us …
then after dinner during the speeches … this is what I captured![]()
and after a fun first dance … a beautiful sunset and one last photo!
