My first crush was with a beat-up old Minolta camera.

I have always been interested in art, so photography was a natural transition from sketching with my hands to “drawing with light” through my camera.

Every year, my friend asks if I would donate a portrait package for an auction to help raise money for her son’s school in West Vancouver… this lovely family was the winner of that auction. It was a real hoot photographing this family … the little girl kept posing like a model, loving every minute … the little guy on the other hand, was not in the mood to have his photo taken and tried really hard not to smile for me … The parents wanted very casual photos so they all wore flip flops … loved it!
