Even though Allison & Chris live in Calgary now … she is very familiar with the Vancouver rain after living here for 4 years while attending UBC.  She came prepared with the cutest little rain boots and boy did we need them!   No amount of rain could put a damper on this lovely wedding … the bride & groom … the wedding party … everyone was a real hoot and amazing troopers

Their ceremony was held at the beautiful Cecil Green where Andrea & Monica from Lotus Events had everything looking beautiful and running smoothly.  Allison & Chris also opted to have a first look which I always love to do! It is such a special … private moment between the bride and groom and I love seeing all the different emotions.  These two just couldn’t stop smiling at each other and it was the perfect way to start the day!

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day … you guys are great!  Allison you were sooooooooo beautiful.  Congrats!!

Also a big thank you to my second shooter Laura Hana for helping me out for the day.  I had a ton of fun shooting with you.

First look time ….

The ceremony this Saturday was held at VCAC Fraser Lands Church and was one that I won’t forget … besides nudging each other and giggling after something the pastor would say … Andrea actually gave Simon a piece of broccoli during her vows … the whole congregation broke out into laughter.    After the ceremony we headed out to Iona Beach for some fun formals and then off to Sun Sui Wah where they had the bride and groom play games and sit down to a delicious meal.

Andrea had 2 pairs of shoes … she wore the ballerina slippers during the day and then the sparkly shoes at night

One of Andrea’s friends painted this family tree … a stamp made of a thumb print where people had to stamp a ‘leaf’ where they liked and then write their names in it.  Thought it was very creative!

Reverend Abe Chan was awesome!  I think every couple should be lined up like this so we can see the bride & Groom clearly … I loved it!!   Thank goodness he is so detail oriented.

Simon cracks me up!  We kept hoping the wind would blow her veil … it caught it a bit and then he tried to help it along

Simon designed Andrea’s engagement ring and I just love it!!

This has got to be one of the nicest couples I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  We had so much fun from the moment our day started.

The ceremony was held at the beautiful Hycroft Manor.  The minister was one of the best that I’ve seen.  He helped make it a very memorable, happy & fun ceremony.   Afterwards everyone gathered around to mingle and nibble on finger foods while the bride & groom finished their family shots.  Then we were off to Iona Beach with the wedding party.   The clouds were dark and gloomy but the photos turned out amazing!!  After Iona beach we still had some time left so we headed out to Steveston at the Britannia Heritage Shipyard for some more formals.

The reception was held at the Kirin Restaurant where the bride & groom were introduced with Canucks towels twirling and some hilarious newlywed games.

Ooooohhhh where to begin with this super sweet couple!  The day before their wedding is the first time I met Franjo & Andrea and I was blown away how genuine and how truly in love they are!  I think Franjo is one of the most sincere men I have ever met and Andrea was such a breath of fresh air!  Watching how the two of them interact together will melt anyone’s heart…it was an honor capturing their love.   The tenderness and love they showed each other is so rare to see.

It was also such a treat seeing my past bride & groom Joe & Nicole at this wedding.  Couldn’t be happier for them expecting their 1st child!

I had the pleasure of meeting Kristine & Patrick through my good friend Daniela Ciuffa.  She needed a second shooter for the day and I love to do that for a  few weddings a season and what better person to do it with … she is so much fun and is a very talented photographer.  This couple was sooooo sweet!!  I loved how much they laughed and smiled throughout the whole day …

I absolutely loved photographing Justin & Jenn and am so honored to have their wedding featured on A Million Little Details website.



I was excited for Justin & Jenn’s wedding day to arrive!  They are amazing to be around…great in front of the camera … very happy & easy to laugh with…very genuine people…who are totally in love with each other!!  I adore them to bits!!  There were quite a few times throughout the day that I had tears trickling down my face as well … it was a beautiful wedding and I am honored to have been able to capture their day for them!

Bridal preparation shots are one of my favourite parts of the day and I couldn’t wait to meet these lovely ladies at Hotel l’hermitage.  When I showed up Jenn was one of the most calm and super excited brides I have ever seen … Amanda had already started putting on everyones makeup…so I busied myself with some detail shots until it was Jenn’s turn.

Her dad was so cute … he kept sending texts/photos so he could come up to the room because he was so exited/bored by himself…

Jenn was absolutely stunning!

Just before we left for the church we stopped for a photo in one of the lounges in the hotel.

This amazing wedding ran so smoothly because of the wonderfully talented event planner Sandy Pandher.  Look forward to working with you again in the future.

Being a little camera shy, Elizabeth & Michael chose to have a ‘First Look’.  It allowed us to get all the photos so they could enjoy their ceremony and reception … we casually walked around the park (with their 2 dogs in tow) and just took our time capturing photos.   They exchanged vows at the Celebration Pavillion (now called the Chapel in the Park) in Queen Elizabeth Park and then cocktail hour at Seasons in the Park with the Arcato Ensemble playing in the background while they mingled with their guests …

It was a lovely day … for a lovely couple …

P.S.  I told you it wasn’t going to rain

This broach has been in this family for many generations … all the previous brides have always worn it on their bodice … Elizabeth chose to wear it in her hair.  Her grandmother was thrilled that she wore it as well … it looked beautiful.

Elizabeth and Michael did a Swing dance for their first dance … more on that later … here is the dress that she was going to wear with it … so cute!  love all the crinoline!

Anticipating seeing Michael… she looked so regal!  People asked her if she was a professional model that day … she totally could be

It’s time to get married … her dad was so emotional during the ceremony … it was very sweet …

and I had to laugh because Elizabeth is a lawyer and that is the first time I have ever seen the bride actually read the marriage certificate to the witnesses

After dinner we saw a beautiful sunset so we scooted outside for another shot.

This was one of the coolest first dances I have ever seen … they did a “Swing” dance … I had way to many photos to choose from …

There are some people that come into your life where you instantly feel comfortable with them … I felt that way with Elizabeth … I think she is an absolute doll and am very honored to have photographed their wedding! I wish you both all the best!
