The end of last summer I had the opportunity to shoot a beautiful wedding in Kelowna with my good friend Carey Nash from Edmonton.   I have always admired Carey’s work and I jumped at the chance to work with him on this wedding.

This wedding was held at one of the best vineyards in British Columbia, Summerhill winery.  The sun was shining all day and the view overlooking the Okanagan Lake was truly breathtaking.   The ceremony and cocktails were surrounded by the most beautiful soft golden light.

I was equally blown away by how gracious this family was and appreciate how they welcomed us with open arms into their home.   Carey has a bit of history with this family and photographed Blake’s sisters wedding the year before … it was really nice to see how comfortable and laid back everyone was.

Blake’s parents own an apple orchard in Kelowna … I couldn’t wait to grab her dress and hang it in the middle of all these trees!

Hot pink shoes??? Ummmm … Yes please!!!

I love this photo of Sara’s mother and step-father seeing her for the first time.  It chokes me up every time.

See what I mean about the soft yummy golden light??  This was straight out of camera…. are you kidding me!?!?

They had a violin and some other string instruments playing for the guests while they had some alone time.  It was lovely!

The details were amazing!  I didn’t even post all of them … there was not one thing overlooked.  I loved loved loved the basket with pink, white and black flip flops for the women guests in all various sizes.  It’s a great idea, because almost every woman kicks off her shoes when it comes time to dancing

Ria & Danielle from Stage Right Etc. did a beautiful job on all the decor.
