Happy New Year Everyone!

I am a bit behind on my blogging and thought what better way to start off the new year than with Deanna & Scott’s wedding.  I was excited about this wedding for a number of reasons:

1. Scott is Scott Richmond – the pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays
2. They are a really fun couple to hang out with and I love their energy.
3. It was held at the Granville Island Hotel
4. Jodi from Sweet Beginnings was the Wedding Consultant/Event Planner
5. Daniela Ciuffa was my second shooter
6. Breianne Zellinsky did Deanna’s hair & makeup

Although they live in Los Angeles … I am glad they chose to have their wedding where Scott is from … it was great meeting you guys … safe trip back to glorious sunshine.

I love the mother and son dance … I have mentioned in the past that when Max gets married, I will be a big puddle.  Scott’s relationship with his mother was so touching … I couldn’t stop my eyes from welling up while they danced.  It was beautiful!

This couple blew me away from the word “go”!   They put so much thought into this engagement session and I think it really paid off!!  Renee said to me that most people do not get their photos taken professionally and she wanted to look her best!  She had her ring cleaned … her hair done … her make up professionally done … new manicure … matching outfits … and all kinds of cool props!  I can’t thank you enough for making this such an easy session …

The first time I met these two our meeting lasted over two hours … it felt like no time had passed at all and we were just old friends enjoying a glass of wine on a sun-filled patio!  I love when I get clients like this … we immediately clicked and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding next year!!

Hannah, Eugene & I headed out to beautiful Granville Island for their engagement session last week.  I always love the opportunity for engagements sessions because I get to see how the couple interact with each other and it’s a great way to get them used to having cameras pointing at them non-stop

I absolutely loved photographing Justin & Jenn and am so honored to have their wedding featured on A Million Little Details website.



It was great meeting up with Gosia & Peter for their engagement session yesterday.  After having to cancel due to ridiculous rainstorms the past few weeks, we finally saw the sun come out … we got to Granville and it started raining

Even though the colours were amazing that day, I could have blogged the whole shoot in black and white!  I just loved the way they turned out.  See for yourself!

I was excited for Justin & Jenn’s wedding day to arrive!  They are amazing to be around…great in front of the camera … very happy & easy to laugh with…very genuine people…who are totally in love with each other!!  I adore them to bits!!  There were quite a few times throughout the day that I had tears trickling down my face as well … it was a beautiful wedding and I am honored to have been able to capture their day for them!

Bridal preparation shots are one of my favourite parts of the day and I couldn’t wait to meet these lovely ladies at Hotel l’hermitage.  When I showed up Jenn was one of the most calm and super excited brides I have ever seen … Amanda had already started putting on everyones makeup…so I busied myself with some detail shots until it was Jenn’s turn.

Her dad was so cute … he kept sending texts/photos so he could come up to the room because he was so exited/bored by himself…

This amazing wedding ran so smoothly because of the wonderfully talented event planner Sandy Pandher.  Look forward to working with you again in the future.

I had the pleasure of shooting Phi & Hormazd’s wedding in Granville Island at the False Creek Community Centre a couple of weeks ago.   I  also got a chance to squeeze in an engagement session a few days before their wedding in Deep Cove. 

I enjoyed watching these 3 sisters all day … it is an incredibly special bond that these women have!  The grandfather also melted my heart, every time I saw him with Hormazd’s neice and all the emotions this man displayed throughout this beautiful wedding.  Both families were incredible!

I had the pleasure of photographing Joe & Nicole’s wedding on Saturday.  The ceremony was at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and later had their reception at the Bridges Restaurant in Granville Island.  We had a few hours to take some wedding party shots and despite the heat, got some great shots…you guys were real troopers…thanks for allowing us to capture your day.   I hope you are having a blast in Cabo
