It is always such an honor when a fellow photographer refers you to their good friends.  I was very nervous waiting to meet Derek & Roseanne … until they sat down.  They are such a joy to be around and incredibly warm and welcoming.  They are the type of people that you just want to keep hanging out with.  Their love for each other is amazing to see…it is just so natural for them.  I was so honored to be a part of your day.

They met at Sasamat Camp in Belcarra, so how fitting that they get married there.  Despite the torrential downpour … nothing could dampen their spirit.  Thank goodness the clouds gave it a rest for an itty bitty time frame … we were able to jump in a canoe…sit on the dock…hit the forest for some pretty cool shots.  You guys are the best to photograph!   Thank you for trusting my vision for your special day.

The bride made her own birdcage veil with a broach that her grandfather bought her … all of the wedding details were done by the bride … very talented lady.

their rings were sooooooooo unique!  they had their thumb prints engraved on the inside of their wedding bands.  Custom bands by Brent & Jess Williams.

The most beautiful wedding gown ever was from Ellebay Bridal, the designers of the dress were Merly Bayona & her daughter Gaby Bayona, Suits were from Mexx, flowers from Paradise Garden, Hair & Makeup by Lindsay Jang, music by DJ Cuzo, Jewlery from Roseanne’s mother (diamond bracelet + silver cuff bracelet), mother in law (2 peach pearl bracelets) and grandpa (cameo earrings + brooch in veil), Engagement ring= birks

You may remember Scott & Deanna’s wedding from a few months ago … well we did a ‘trash the dress’ session about 2 months after their wedding on a very cold rainy day at Stanley Park.  The were both troopers bearing the cold for as long as they did

This last trip back to Ontario, I was able to squeeze in an engagement session for Todd & Toni and a long overdue dinner.   I was introduced to Todd almost 14 years ago when I started dating my husband.  Over the years we have developed a very close friendship … I don’t just consider him one of my best friends …he’s more like a brother to me.  It warms my heart to see him so happy and in love!!

I am over the moon happy that he will be marrying Toni this May … she is an absolute sweetheart and is going to make a beautiful bride.  I am extremely honored that I will be photographing their wedding.

Chrissie and Clay blew me away with their Trash the Dress / Day After Session … We found an amazing tractor graveyard and then we went to Sand Harbor Beach to get nice and wet

I heart you guys!!!  Thanks for a great photo session!!  I am so glad I met you guys!!!

It is always a joy to see a couple so in tune with one another … Clay & Chrissie were always smiling, laughing, texting, crying, hugging or kissing like nobody else was around … their love is so focused on each other it brought a tear to my own eyes a few times throughout the day.  I am so happy for the both of you!

If it wasn’t for my good friend Carey Nash, I would never have had the opportunity to meet this amazing couple.  Since they grew up together,  Carey was asked to be in the wedding party so he couldn’t photograph their wedding.  I am sooooooooooo happy/honored that he referred me to Chrissie & Clay … the whole wedding in Tahoe was amazing … the bridal party was warm, welcoming and incredibly fun!!  Even though it was extremely windy and cold the day of the wedding we still managed to get some great shots and have a blast!

Big thank you to Katie Baldi who drove in from San Fran to second shoot with me!  It was great seeing you again as well!!  I appreciate you scoping out all the locations and showing me around your hood

The Hyatt in Incline Village was such a beautiful venue for a wedding.  Just breathtaking … even with the high winds, I am so glad they decided to have it outdoors.

Clay got personalized money clips and flasks for each of the guys for standing in the wedding party … cool idea for gifts.

Chrissie loved the pine cones in Tahoe … so of course I had to do a ring shot

Flowers were by Christina at A Bud & Beyond Floral … she did an amazing job!

There are certain people in this world who make you feel so comfortable, like you’ve been old friends for years.  Laura has that effect with everyone she comes into contact with.   Then there is Adam.  He is also one of the sweetest people I have ever met.  Seeing the two of them together … melts your heart.  There is so much love between them, it is evident just by the way they look at each other.

In the morning I met up with Laura and her daughter Hailey at Nasrin’s Salon where Mitra styled their hair and Dorota applied her makeup.  Watching Hailey’s expression while she watched her mother turn into a beautiful bride was so sweet to witness … she cracked me up quite a bit that day.

While I was with the ladies … rock star Daniela Ciuffa was with the guys … Thanks D for all your help!

Because Adam & Laura are from Saskatchewan … they both opted to get ready at The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier in North Vancouver … this is also where the ceremony & reception were.  Extremely beautiful hotel.

I loved all of Hailey’s little details too … she was so excited to get ready.

When Laura walked down the aisle and grabbed Adam’s hand … he just kept repeating over and over again … “you are sooooo beautiful” with tears in his eyes as he rubbed her hand!  It was such an amazing reaction and so darn touching!!!!  My fav to date!

Her father performed a lovely ceremony and there wasn’t a dry eye throughout … then after Laura & Adam exchanged rings … he surprised everyone by going over to Hailey and putting a ring on her finger as well.  I love these shots that Daniela captured!  Hailey didn’t stop staring at it for the rest of the ceremony

This has got to be one of the nicest couples I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  We had so much fun from the moment our day started.

The ceremony was held at the beautiful Hycroft Manor.  The minister was one of the best that I’ve seen.  He helped make it a very memorable, happy & fun ceremony.   Afterwards everyone gathered around to mingle and nibble on finger foods while the bride & groom finished their family shots.  Then we were off to Iona Beach with the wedding party.   The clouds were dark and gloomy but the photos turned out amazing!!  After Iona beach we still had some time left so we headed out to Steveston at the Britannia Heritage Shipyard for some more formals.

The reception was held at the Kirin Restaurant where the bride & groom were introduced with Canucks towels twirling and some hilarious newlywed games.

The day after Corey & Sarah tied the knot at the Barcelo Maya Palace in Mexico … we decided it would be great to sneak out the next day to grab some extra photos.  We finished just in time before the skies opened up and dumped on us… you guys are amazing.

Six years ago today was the best days of my life!  I became the mother to the most wonderful little boy.

Dear Max,

There are so many things I love about you that it is hard to put into words.  You are such a gentle boy and you make me so proud every day seeing how you interact with people whether they are young or old.  Your laughter and sense of humor cracks me up on a daily basis.  You are so inquisitive and always asking questions trying to learn everything you can about every topic … it is sometimes hard to keep up  :).  If I can have one wish on your birthday  … it is that we will always have our special bond.  You are always wanting to snuggle, kiss me or hold my hand…even when you are sleeping, playing or watching tv…

You are my greatest accomplishment.  I love you to the moon and back!!  Happy Birthday!!
