Ben Pickering | CEO of Strutta | Dundarave Beach | West Vancouver Portrait Photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting Ben over drinks with my friends Maura and Dan, who also happen to be the founders of Strutta and Bootup Labs. Ben had just moved to Vancouver from California as the new CEO of Strutta and we had talked about photography a bit, but since it’s wedding season for me, I kinda dropped the ball on setting up a photography session with him … until he reminded me at Launch Party … We finally got together for this shoot at Dundarave Beach in West Vancouver where the weather was absolutely perfect and despite almost being hit by a train … I think Ben knocked this shoot out of the park! Thanks Ben for being so easy to photograph and good luck at Strutta, it’s a great bunch!

Surprise photoshoot for Father’s Day Present | West Vancouver Portrait Photographer

I received an email a few days ago asking if I would be able to do a shoot of 2 little ones for a father’s day present. I haven’t had a kids shoot in a while and was extremely excited to photograph little L & E. John Lawson in West Vancouver is such a great place to photograph children because the park is there as well as the beach … lots of places for them to explore and to try to forget the camera is on them. Good job…hope you enjoyed your ice cream … it was well deserved.

It’s always fun photographing this family! I was very happy when Julie called to set up another family shoot, and even more so when I heard her dad and Kaye from P.E.I. would be in them as well. I have known this family for many years and it is always great to see Mike when he is in town.

I would like to thank the team at ShowIt Sites for all of their help…especially Andrew! You definately saved me from pulling my hair out a few times Andrew and I can’t thank you enough!! You ROCK!!! David Jay is the creator of all the ShowIt products and I find them to be very easy to use and they look great! If anyone is looking for a new site, slideshows, etc. this is the place to go.

I am equally happy with my new blog! The team from ProPhoto Blogs, especially Jared Henderson, were incredibly helpful and quick to respond with any question I had. Jared was on vacation and was still emailing me with answers to my questions. He was just as dedicated to getting my blog up and running as I was…very very impressed! you guys are truly amazing! Thank you for all your hard work.

And you can’t put up a blog post on a photo blog without a photo or two…I took these last summer outside the Sequoia Grill Restaurant in Stanley Park. You can’t get a more beautiful sunset!! {sigh} Dreaming of summer nights, flip flops and warm weather!
