Hello poor neglected blog … new menu items at the Queen’s Cross Pub | Vancouver Wedding Photographer

I have not intentionally neglected this blog … I have been uber sick with that blasted H1N1 and am now finally feeling human enough to do a blog entry . For all of you waiting for your photos … I am back at work and trying to get those out to you before the holidays.

As many of you know I am a fan of the Queen’s Cross Pub in North Vancouver and am always happy to help Chris out when there are new things on the menu. I shot these quite awhile ago and have just now been able to blog them. If you are in the neighborhood, definitely stop by and try out these delicious new items!

Ben Pickering | CEO of Strutta | Dundarave Beach | West Vancouver Portrait Photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting Ben over drinks with my friends Maura and Dan, who also happen to be the founders of Strutta and Bootup Labs. Ben had just moved to Vancouver from California as the new CEO of Strutta and we had talked about photography a bit, but since it’s wedding season for me, I kinda dropped the ball on setting up a photography session with him … until he reminded me at Launch Party … We finally got together for this shoot at Dundarave Beach in West Vancouver where the weather was absolutely perfect and despite almost being hit by a train … I think Ben knocked this shoot out of the park! Thanks Ben for being so easy to photograph and good luck at Strutta, it’s a great bunch!

The Queen's Cross Pub

I was excited when Chris from the Queen’s Cross asked me if I would take some photos for his new website. I don’t normally do commercial shoots but I absolutely love going to this pub! I have blogged about the Cross before and if you are ever in the area (it’s in North Vancouver…Upper Lonsdale)…you really need to check it out. Their food is delicious! Their drinks are yummy! Their live bands/dj’s are a riot!! Their tvs are huge for any sport fanatic! Their staff is very friendly!

Fun at the Queen’s Cross in North Vancouver | Vancouver Commercial Photographer

My husband and I have always loved watching live bands and hanging out at little pubs. When we moved from NYC, we were worried we wouldn’t have anything close by … well … stumbling distance from our home is the best pub ever! The Queen’s Cross is only about 4 blocks away and we frequent often…especially if there is a live band. One of our favourites is Adam Woodall. Sometimes they play as the Adam Woodall Band and others as Rosco. They do not disappoint in the fun department. They are awesome to dance to and guaranteed to put on a great show!

Here are a few shots of them playing at the Queen’s Cross. If you get a chance to check it out…I highly recommend. Plus the food at the Cross is amazing as well as all the staff…especially the owner Chris .
