a bit about me...

Everyone remembers their first love.

The one you can’t bear to spend a waking moment without.

The one that makes your heart skip just thinking about it.

My first crush was with a beat-up old Minolta camera.

I have always been interested in art, so photography was a natural transition from sketching with my hands to “drawing with light” through my camera.

My name is Fran Chelico and I am a Vancouver Wedding & Portrait Photographer...This is my blog.  A place where I can share my latest weddings ... portraits ... and random thoughts and photos ... please feel free to hang out ... snoop around ... check things out ... leave comments ... ask questions ... whatever ... thanks for stopping by ... come back anytime :)

Fun at the Queen’s Cross in North Vancouver | Vancouver Commercial Photographer

My husband and I have always loved watching live bands and hanging out at little pubs.   When we moved from NYC, we were worried we wouldn’t have anything close by … well … stumbling distance from our home is the best pub ever!  The Queen’s Cross is only about 4 blocks away and we frequent often…especially...

Sunny Scooter Day along Lake Ontario | Vancouver Wedding Photographer

My mother loves to tell the story how I was missing for over an hour as a small child at my dad’s shop, and that they had to get the whole body shop looking for me.  I used to love climbing up into the back cabs of the transport trucks and explore…this particular time I ended...

Sherkston Shore Fishing Expedition | Vancouver Wedding Photographer

It has been a fun filled trip back to Ontario to visit my family and friends.  I feel bad and embarassed to admit that I lugged all my gear here and have hardly taken any photos.  Bad Fran!   Bad!

The weather has been crazy…one day it is sunny and warm…the next it is snowing…the next it...
